Being A Girl Is Confusing

I don't have a job, so I do my own nails to save money. One of the products I use needs to be dealt with in a public forum. It's Sally Hansen's Gel Cuticle Remover. It's a great product. Works like a charm, but the directions terrify me:

Apply around cuticle, wait 1-2 minutes, no longer than 8-10 minutes. Use pusher tip to loosen & push cuticles away from nails. Wash away excess with warm, soapy water.

WARNING: Keep fingers away from eyes during use. Do not use on cut or sensitive skin. Do not use more than twice weekly.

What is the issue here? What will happen if I leave it on too long? My cuticles will be TOO soft? I will have too FEW cuticles? I didn't realize this was an issue... for anyone.

Uh oh, I spent too much time writing this and now the cuticle gel has been on too long. Don't laugh at me if you see me later today. I will be the one with the SOFTEST CUTICLES ON EARTH!

One time I had blue toes! I wonder what Sally Hansen would have to say about that?!
